Taking care of children

The Emma & Elias Programme works as an umbrella for the projects by various organisations supporting the health and social welfare of children and their families. In 2015, the programme includes 32 projects or activities.

The goal of the programme

The Emma & Elias Programme was established to develop, strengthen and diversify activities suitable for non-profit organisations promoting the health and social welfare of children and their families. The programme focuses on improving the living conditions of children 15 years of age and younger.

The goal is also to improve the way children and their families are allowed for in society in their various life situations.

Projects in the programme

Approximately 10 projects will be selected in the programme every year, during the first four years. Promising projects and activities that complement one another will be included in the programme. The projects will also form a network and development platform.

The main themes of the programme will be promoted through the projects:
supporting parenthood
increasing the responsibility of adults and
promoting children’s involvement
